Payments & apps
A tip has value only if the stake can be placed quickly and the return collected without trouble, so payments belong close to the picks. This section follows the stake in and the winnings out.
Debit cards, PayPal, Skrill, Neteller and paysafecard come first. Mobile wallets such as Apple Pay and Google Pay, then Trustly and plain bank transfer, come next. Quick withdrawals, sites accepting £1, £5 or £10 and the apps used on a phone follow, with crypto raised as a subject only.
Since 14 April 2020 a credit card cannot fund a bet. Identity is verified ahead of the first deposit, and net deposits beyond £150 in any rolling 30 days make the operator run a public-record check. The punter owes no tax on what a bet wins.
