About us – Best Betting Tips

Tips are the subject here, and so is their limit. The site explains how to read a tip, a forecast or a daily pick against the price on offer, and it does not take bets, sell selections or promise returns, since no bet is certain to win.

Reading a tip

A selection says little without the odds beside it. The pieces on the site convert prices into probability, point to the margin hidden in a market and show what a promotion demands before it adds any value. Opinions are labelled as opinions.

Checking a licence

A bookmaker serving customers in Great Britain must hold a Gambling Commission licence, and the Commission’s public register is the one test. Licensed operators use .com addresses, so the web address proves nothing. Licences from Curaçao, Malta or Gibraltar do not stand in for the Great Britain licence. An operator without one is described as operating without a Great Britain licence, and the consequences are stated plainly: no GAMSTOP, no Commission complaints route, less protection. Northern Ireland has its own law and lies outside the Gambling Act 2005. Appearing in a list is not the same as holding a licence.

Sources

Operator facts come from the operators’ terms, help pages and footers. Legal facts come from statutes and from the Gambling Commission and other public bodies. Where a figure appears, the text says when and where it applied; when sources give out, the point is put in words and no number is made up.

Audience

Betting is open to adults aged 18 and over, and the pages are written for readers in Great Britain. They are not legal or tax advice. GamCare, GambleAware and GAMSTOP are there for anyone whose betting has outgrown the plan.
